After getting to bed about half one ish, The lovely man who had helped us get back in the van, turned up for us to fill in the paperwork and we were back on the road again having previously said our goodbyes to Keith and Christine as they headed, homeward bound towards Slovenia and Lake Bled.
We eventually arrived at Camp Vestar near Rovinj in the Istria region of Croatia. Had a lovely day just mooching round and we are currently wide awake at 3.30 in the morning sipping our cuppas and listening to the rain bounce off the van!!
Todays plan—- to be decided.
Rain, complete with thunder and lightening stopped about 10am, eventually set off on the bikes about 11.30 ish.
Clouds had all gone and it was blue skies all the way, Rovinj is a beautiful coastal town, with many cobbled streets wore smooth with the passage of feet over many years. Had a right good walk around Rovinj exploring all the cobbled streets, bit of lunch, bit of ‘people watching’ followed by a lovely meandering ride back.
Eventually got back at about half 5 and it was time for a tipple, this place is so relaxing might even stay a bit longer?
Loads of cycle routes in the area so maybe, weather permitting, we will do another one?
