Day 15 – BOSTON

Morning to all my readership which include Kee, Lou, Chris and Beth, when they can be arsed ๐Ÿ™‚ and to Kev and Ells who are probably reading this on the stairs? God knows why? x

It’s now nearly ten to 8 in the morning and we get alongside at Boston at 10.00, shock, horror, we are missing breakfast!!!! Al still in bed watching telly, I am off to the Gym, going to meet up with Tracey and David shortly after the gym for our Boston adventure.

Ells!!! Bloody San Francisco!!! How blinkin amazing ๐Ÿ™‚ I expect a blog xxx

Update to follow later as we don’t leave until 8.00pm

Boston was a real revelation with loads of History involving us Brits and a definite more relaxed and less husstle feel to it compared to New York.

it consisted of an old part of the city and a new and all of the new is reclaimed land/landfill from the sa and was all built within the last 10 years.

Lovely colonial houses and harbour/marina fronts with property prices comparing to Beverley Hills with single and double bedroom flats in the ‘Beacon Hill’ area, fetching millions.

It was here that the American revelution was said to start with the Boston tea Party and the Boston massacre, google it, can’t be arsed to explain.

We got a taxi there and back for $25 each way which wasn’t bad, we then jumped on a Hop on Hop off bus which took us arround the city, stopping at 9 seperate stops but we didn’t get off as the lady doing the commentry on the bus was brilliant and full of info.

We also called at a bar for me to complete my task of the day which was to sample Clam Chowder, it was sampled and soon all dissapeared as it was deliscious.

We also visited the local Food Market which had every kind of authentic American dish alongside other dishes from all over the world, we could have visited the bar where ‘Cheers’ was filmed but just ran out of time.

We were back on board for about 6 ish which just gave us enough time for a quick drinkie and a siesta before our evening meal at 07.30.

The meal ws again to die for apart from the chocoholic cheese cake, it just wasn’t New York Cheesecake ๐Ÿ™‚

Evening meal was again followed by a very quick casino visit (lost $20) and a stint in the ships theatre as a comedian was on who turned out to be quite good and made us chuckle.

In bed and update this blog for 11.30 and unsure what time we are up as we are at Bar Harbour from 7.00am with boats running from the ship taking us ashore (our boats, not some local boats that happen to have Sky Princess wrote on them!!

Plan for me is a gym visit as i can’t see anyone moving until gone 08.00.

Update, literally just read my task for tomorrow, not now going to the gym, we are all meeting in the lounge area of the ship at 08.15 and we have booked in for a bike ride around the Acadia national Park in Bar harbour ๐Ÿ™‚ Can’t wait, know nothing about it, will keep an eye out for any wildlife and report back.
